What happened? Read the support transcript.
Assuming that they had a basis for disabling my hosting account, did they have the right to deny me access to all of the webfiles and databases? They could have just told me to move my hosting elsewhere… But do they have the right to refuse to give me access to MY files? What about the other website owners’ files hosted under my account? You be the judge. Any advice is welcome too.
To the loyal TDP members, I’m so ashamed that I let you down. As you can see I’ve done what I could. I NEVER thought this could happen.
Moving on I’m planning to start over from scratch… It might take a while but we’ll get there. I’m still trying to get a hold of the .com domain, once I have that I’ll setup a temp page, and a registration page where you can all register again.
TDP will be reborn from the ashes.

it is indeed unfair… (sigh) but there is nothing we can do about it coz it seems they are adamant on your complaints… anyway, i know you can start it up again… and we will make this a good learning to all of us… “crisis comes with great opportunities”

Hay, ngayong gabi ko lang naramdaman epekto ng kawalan ng tdp. Ngayon lang kumbaga nag sink in. Para bang isang katropa ng tatlong taon. Halos araw araw na labasan ng laman ng utak, nakita ng mata, narinig ng tenga, tapos isang araw bigla na lang, poof! It became coco crunch! Tsk tsk.
Kung ganito epekto sa kin nito, lalo na siguro sa yo blood. Pero tama sabi ni eisa. Yung site lang nawala, yung posts na luma lang ang nawala, pero yung members andito pa din. Yung nabuong koneksyon sa mga tao, andito pa din. Kaya anu’t anuman, salamat kay TDP. Antayin namin ang pagbabalik niya.

TDP has opened doors to friendships, relationships, abundant talents and overwhelming knowledge about all sorts of things. It has become home to a lot of people and, until a few days ago, has given tremendous comfort to its members, in all ways possible. The past few days without TDP have left us yearning..like eating cake without the icing, drinking cappuccino without the froth, ending a date without a kiss…bitin

anyway, TDP is a part of my everyday’s routine, nakakapanibago lang na biglaang nawala,

at first i thought the site’s just undergoing maintenance..ayun pala hindi..

i met new friends through tdp. exchanged opinions, thoughts with other tdpeeps in threads.. i got to appreciate creative people more, especially those who are really good at what they do, we have so many poets kung tutuusin..
anyways, tdp WILL be back. and when that time comes, all of us tdpeeps will be there..
this is not goodbye.it’s more of “see you later”..

Hi Boss,
Well, thats sh*tty service.
What I find surprising is the termination of ALL your accounts. They should have suspended the errant site and NOT the entire thing, considering that you have a hosting account/agreement with them. I dont know how the TOS of DreamHost works, but they should have anticipated something like this.
Blanket agreements are quite inflexible when it comes to things like this, and they can always argue and counter based on their TOS. It is interesting, though, to note that the ownership of the sites is not yours, your job was simply to find them a service, develop and register it (and somehow perform maintenance).
It was just unfortunate that your name was on the agreement. They must have taken you to be part-owner.
You have got to hate the way these guys interpret their own TOS.
While they may have terminated the hosting service, they should have a least allowed you to leech your files out of their servers, just as a courtesy to another person. Its not like you stole something from them.
But, as I’ve said, its their own interpretation of their TOS. They can interpret it any way they want to.
Man, even just the databases would do.
Be ashamed of nothing Boss. Its not your fault, and you’re definitely not to blame. You didnt let us down.
And we’re NOT in a rush. Take your time, fix the more important sites first. Make sure to talk to your next host that you’re just the agent, and not the primary user.
I miss TDP. I miss my items. I miss the good people. I dont miss the spam.

grabe nakakaasar yang dreamhost na yan. inde dapat na ideny yung mga hosted file at db para man lang pwede iupload sa ibang hosting company. dati sa company ko na pinagtatrabahuhan ko kapag expired na ung account ng hosting kpag nirequest nila na kunin nila file nila binibigay namin. grabe yan nakakaasar.

You did your best, their pos service and ludicrous ToS is just insanely annoying.
I hope one of your clients sue them. They really can’t sue you since it was out of your hands. That’s one thing with ToSes though but you can always find that one loop hole to screw them over.
And please don’t apologize, no need to apologize to everyone. We should thank you since up to the very end you thought of us not saving your own skin.
TDP will be back, thanks for sticking it out till the end, well the old one’s end. It’d be back and everything will be back to normal, right?

ive read some reviews about dreamhost at marami akong nabasa na negative specially sa customer service daw nila masyado daw silang rude makitungo sa mga customers nila at napatunayan na din natin yun sa mga message nila with bossing blood…
